Check out the Bullying Prevention Youth Leaders’ Toolkit

Check out  these great websites for more information on stopping bullying.

As students, YOU know better than anyone what our community needs.

Your thoughts, voice, and ideas will help chart the course for all
Stand Up! Speak OUT! Bullying Prevention events in the future.
You deserve respect!

We value you and recognize that you are an important part of the solution and want you included in developing programs that affect your well-being.

Don't participate in bullying!

Be there for the person who is being bullied

If you see someone sitting alone in the lunchroom or on the bus (being excluded) go and sit with them.

If you see something happening in the hallway, locker room or bus Speak UP!

If you feel safe, stand up to the bully (with some friends if that’s more comfortable) and say it isn’t cool.

Let your friends know that you care about the feelings of others.

Empower each other. Stand UP! together to let bullies know that their actions are wrong.

Be respectful of others and their property.

If you think you have bullied someone in the past, apologize.

We care about YOUR future, because after all...

YOU  are the future!
What can YOU do to stop bullying?
Remaining silent while others are being hurt is not cool!
Bullies can be stopped when victims and bystanders learn and apply new ways to Stand UP! against all bullying.
If YOU are being Bullied
Don't be afraid to tell an adult. Telling isn't snitching!

Be sure to tell exactly what happened ... who was bullied, who the bully was, where and when it happened

If you tell an adult and you don't think they are doing anything about the bullying or if the situation isn't improving, tell another adult. The more adults you involve the better. (see parents page for steps you can take to report bullying)

Document the bullying incident(s). Keep a notebook with who bullied,  when and where the bullying occurred and who witnessed the event.

Keep telling adults until someone does something to help!
Encourage everyone at your school to Speak OUT! against bullying.

Ask your principal if you can start a peer mentoring group to establish a bully-free community at your school.

You can change your school, you can change your community -  you can change the world!
